Adjunct Instructor Pool for BSIT and MSIT Programs

The College of Business and Information Technology (CoBIT) at Lawrence Technological University (LTU) is accepting applications for adjunct instructors with expertise in computer networking, cybersecurity, and mobile programming subject areas. LTU has 16-week semesters in the fall and spring, with a 10-week semester in the summer. Classes are scheduled in advance for on-ground, online, or hybrid delivery.

Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. and/or M.S. degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited college or university. Teaching experience at the bachelor and master level a plus. Additionally, candidates will have solid work experience and knowledge in one of the following subject areas:
  • Computer networking—LTU is a Cisco Networking Academy and teaches CCNA curriculum, candidates who are accredited or have a CCNA are preferred.
  • Cybersecurity—Linux distributions, database security, software security, VirtualBox VMs, cryptography, access control, web and mobile security, tools used for risk assessments, intrusion detection, continuous monitoring, and penetration testing
  • Mobile programming—Android and Apple mobile platforms.

Adjunct instructors are hired on a semester-by-semester appointment. Qualified applicants for this position will be placed into a hiring pool for the academic year of 2018-2020. Acceptance into the hiring pool does not constitute an offer of an appointment, nor does having worked one semester guarantee that a position will be available for the following semester.

A final offer of employment is based upon the clearance of a background check.
