Lawrence Technological University is in the top tier of U.S. News & World Report’s America’s 2019 Best Colleges rankings. Within its classification of Best Regional Universities-Midwest, Lawrence Tech ranks 62nd among the colleges and universities listed. Lawrence Tech has consistently ranked high in this category since the early 1990s.
U.S. News also ranks Lawrence Tech as a Best Value School. Their criteria “takes into account a school’s academic quality, as indicated by its 2019 U.S. News Best Colleges ranking, and the 2017-2018 net cost of attendance for a student who received the average level of need-based financial aid. The higher the quality of the program and the lower the cost, the better the deal. Only schools ranked in or near the top half of their categories are included because U.S. News considers the most significant values to be among colleges that are above average academically.”
U.S. News also places LTU in the Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs category and for several years has cited Lawrence Tech among the top five universities in Michigan as one of the Best Colleges for Veterans. Additional ranking includes the graduate school categories of Best Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
